Introducing the TYR Men's CXT-3 Trainer. The next evolution of TYR's most trusted training platform — rebuilt lighter, stronger, and more responsive than its predecessor. At 12.5oz, the CXT-3 is an ounce lighter than the CXT-2, achieved through a new lightweight breathable mesh upper with no-sew overlays that reduce weight without compromising structure. A new external TPU heel counter — extending into a full side rail — delivers the rearfoot lockdown and stability that heavy lifting demands. SURGENRG™ foam in the midsole converts applied force into elastic rebound, so every rep returns energy back to the athlete. The TYRTAC™ herringbone rubber outsole grips every surface, every transition, every direction. Built for the athlete who lifts, conditions, and refuses to choose between the two.

"I have several pairs of TYR's in my gym rotation. From the 1's to the 3's. These are my absolute favorite. The fit is spot on. I feel like they fit a little wider than the the previous models. I like that they have a little flex to them and aren't so stiff which makes me walk flat footed. Also the heel cup is a touch higher. I find them comfortable and sturdy. The Acid Bath colorway is fantastic. I've gotten so many compliments on them."
"Who doesn’t love a bright trainer? I am a massive cxt fan and these don’t disappoint. I have wide feet so do choose the mens option but they are so comfy for training in. I tend to wear them day to day too. I did find with these the backs took a little while to wear In but it’s a really small thing"
"I had the CXT2 carbon trainer first. They were good, but this one is absolutely better. They fixed the upper that couldn’t be cleaned, the sizing is spot on and they look great!"
"Have always loved TYR trainers but hadn't yet tried the CXT-3. Absolutely love it. Super comfortable. Although it's a bit roomier than past models, it still moves well. Not as "solid" or "sturdy" as the CXT-2 Carbon Elite trainer (which I still feel is the best all around shoe for metcons that involve heavy lifting), but definitely a great every day shoe for training. Not to mention, this colorway is awesome. You wouldn't believe the number of people who came up to me to say, "I love your shoes!" All in all, very happy to have finally added the CXT-3 to my collection."
"I’ve tried many different pairs of gym shoes, and I can honestly say that these are the most comfy and best fitting ones that I have tried. I’ve had no Nikes many others but the fit and comfort on these is crazy. I didn’t even know about the brand I got them as a wedding gift. lol will definitely be buying another pair. The only thing I don’t know about is the durability. I haven’t had them long enough to say whether they’re good or bad."
"Nice all around CrossFit shoe. I had a pair of cxt-2 for a long time and loved it. The cxt-3 is just as confortable and easy to work with. It’s good for runs up to 800m, supporting Olympic lifts and plying work like box jumps and agility training. They do feel a bit wider than the cxt-2 thoguh"
"I’ve had these about 2 weeks now and I’m pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they are. They are very stable for lifting and there is a smidge more heel than I expected as well — another pleasant surprise. They also have been great for box jumps, bounds, and sprinting exercises as well. The laces feel a little weak when I pull them tight, so we’ll see how long they last, but overall I am impressed with comfortable and stable they feel. I don’t know if these have the same slightly wider toe box that they advertise with their lifting shoes, but that might be adds to comfort and stability of these."
"I’ve been a diehard Reebok person for years but haven’t loved the newer shoes. I’ve dabbled in other brands and nothing really hit the mark. These shoes are so good, I wanted to buy another pair instantly. The stabilization is unmatched. They actually fell good to run in without being clunky. I haven’t found a movement where these don’t support me in the exact way I need. Never change. You have a customer for life. I need to replace my Oly shoes and I know exactly where I’m going."
"These trainers are exactly what I needed. My last pair had way too much padding in the heel, so I was struggling to balance during squats. These shoes are rock solid but still flexible enough for running, which is perfect for the fitness classes I'm in which require me to do both cardio and weight lifting."
"I have all three generations of this shoe. Loved the -1, didn’t love the -2. The -3 is a lot more like the 1st gen - comfy and stable. My one complaint is that the back of the ankle is soft and collapses when putting them on often. Annoying."
