"6’, 185# Novice runner working towards full marathon. Currently running 2X per week; 1 short, 1 long. I have a pair of Vaporfly 3 and ran a PR in half marathon with them but my knee and ankle felt wrecked after. Decided to give the TYR Valkyrie Elite Carbon a try to see if it could provide more stability for my gait. During training the Valkyries felt bouncy, stable, and assisted me to keep my pace. PR'd my half marathon time with the Valkyries and no soreness after! Highly recommend these. Runs TTS maybe slightly towards smaller. I'm bt a 10. 5 - 11. Went with 10. 5 and fits great! Great job on execution of these running shoes, TYR!"

"Great shoe ticks all the boxes on what a carbon racer should be . Fit is TTS and I like the wiggle room in the toebox which a lot of racers don't have. Midsole feels bouncy and very cushioned."

Left a popular brands for TYR

"For years, I ran with Brooks (Too Heavy). Bcz I'm a NYC runner, New Balance is the "Preferred" brand for Marathon. I didn't care for the Drop on either shoe. Then I discovered Saucony. I really l Iiked the brand, I am I "Clydesdale" runner. (+220lbs) bcz of that, I was wearing the sneakers down fast. Then at a CrossFit competition, TYR was at the games. (Owned Metcons). Long story short, 2 years later Still have my CXT-2 in great condition. Ran 3 marathon and trained the same Valkyrie elite almost 500 miles later. SUPER LIGHT, soft and stacked on the heels with spring when I run. I need them in more colors like red or pink."

"The Valkyrie Carbon Elite has surprised me at how comfortable it feels when moving through all paces. It’s been great for speed workouts. Looking forward to my upcoming half marathon with these. The midsole is exactly what I’m looking for - compliant but firms up enough when picking up speed. The fit works well for me, and I’d say I have an average width foot. The upper over the toes does bunch some when tightening the laces but I hope that goes away as it breaks in some. It has not caused any rubbing or discomfort."
