"I really wanted to love these shoes. I did quite a bit of research before purchasing the CXT-3 because I was looking for a good cross-training shoe, and I saw many positive recommendations. I have a very average, easy-to-fit foot and have never had an issue like this with any other athletic shoe. I wore these six times for lifting and floor exercises without a problem. However, when I eventually used them for a longer run (about 2 miles), I noticed friction on the back of my left ankle. I didn't think much of it during the workout, but when I took the shoe off, I discovered that the back of the shoe had rubbed an open sore on the backside of my ankle. It took some time to heal, and I was unable to continue wearing the shoes for my cross training workouts. I understand that this was not considered a manufacturing defect, but I do think it's something potential buyers should be aware of. Before purchasing, I would strongly recommend carefully assessing the height and shape of the back of the shoe and making sure there isn't a potential friction point where it meets your ankle/Achilles area. I would not have expected this issue based on trying the shoes on or wearing them for shorter runs, so it was only apparent to me after running a longer distance. I'm disappointed because I invested in these specifically as cross-training shoes and had high hopes for them. They may work perfectly well for others, but based on my experience, I'd encourage anyone considering them to pay particular attention to the back of the shoe and how it sits against your ankle before committing to a pair. Me? I'm going back to my trusty Reebok Nanos."
"I ordered the TYR CXT-3 Trainers in Black Crystal as an upgrade from my old training shoes, which were a half-size too small, so I am definitely grateful for the proper fit! Overall, they fit true to size. That said, I was really surprised by how heavy and hard the soles are. While they do offer extra support and end up feeling comfortable during workouts, the overall weight is a bit much for me. Pros: True to size, comfortable, and provides great stability/extra support. Cons: Stiff, hard soles and noticeably on the heavy side. I'm glad to have them for now since my previous shoes didn't fit right, but given the weight and rigid feel, I'm not sure I would purchase them again."
"Great gym shoes. They were a little stiff on day one, but now feel great after wearing them a few times. I love the colors."
"Love my new CXT -3, they are durable yet very comfortable to workout in"
"Me han comentado que los CXT-2 son muy distintos a los CXT-3. Me dan muy buen soporte en mis levantamientos, únicamente que derivado del soporte que manejan molesta un poco cuando hay WODs con running."
"Love the look, fit, and support. Doesn’t feel like it has as much cushion as the CXT-2 which I like for running. I wear a size 7 which is 1/2 size larger than my street shoes. All in all I am happy with my purchase! I wear these for CrossFit."
