Record Breaking Swims at U.S. Open

At the 2008 U.S. Open, Mary DeScenza and Scott Usher dashed to victories with 2 Lifetime Personal Best Times.

Scott broke the U.S. Open record in the 200m Breaststroke while conquering his personal time goal. He led the race from the start and clocked in a time of 2:10.67.

“I really wanted to come in here and go a best time,” Scott said. “Trials in ’04 was the last time I went 2:10.9. I wanted to go under that for once."

Queen Mary still continues to swim fast as she won her premiere event, the 200m Butterfly. She set a new Lifetime Personal Best Time of 2:07.26.

More swims to come from our TYR team at the 2008 U.S. Open in Minneapolis.
