Seal Beach, CA -- March 25, 2014 -- After taking a year off for the birth of her first child, Olympic triathlete Sarah Haskins has created a new partnership with TYR Sport.
The athletic break seems to have served Haskins well, as she has already notched two back-to-back post-baby sprint victories this season. The first was at the Clermont ITU Sprint Triathlon Pan American Cup on March 1, which served as Haskins’s premier race of 2014. She dominated the 750m swim, 20k bike and 5k run course with a time of 1:02:55 to take the gold. The following week, Haskins earned another victory at the Sarasota PATCO Sprint Triathlon Pan American Championships. The athlete completed the same length course with an impressive time of 57:03.
Haskins first became a professional triathlete in 2004, and she has accomplished some incredible feats over her decade-long career. Most notably, she had the honor of competing on the world stage at the 2008 Beijing Olympics after winning the silver medal at the 2008 ITU World Championships. Additionally, she won the gold medal at the 2011 Pan American Games, and she is a three-time winner of the Race To The Toyota Cup Series.
