DeScenza Leads Overall Grand Prix Standings

Mary DeScenza remains the high point series leader with 104 points after final day of the USA Swimming Austin Grand Prix. This evening DeScenza touched third in the 200-meter backstroke to stop the clock at 2:11.96. She finished the meet on a high note by winning the 200-meter butterfly event in 2:09.01.

Action filled the Austin pool as Elizabeth Tinnon picked up speed in the final lap of the 200-meter breaststroke to touch the wall in a first place tie. Her winning time of 2:31.73 secured her second breaststroke title at the Austin meet.
