"Order at least a half size up! As many reviewers have stated and as the product page suggests, order a size up. For me a half size was just perfect. Shoes feel nice. Much better than setting up wedges or putting heels on weight plates and trying to get them equally spaced. The feeling of not having think about that makes these shoes a worthwhile investment."
"Edit: I was charged $20.88 for returning this shoe. Horrible business model. I will not be doing business with TYR in the future. Accidentally ordered this in a woman’s, after I had already ordered the men’s in red but changed my mind and wanted the blue ones. Found out they charge $9.99 for returns which is absolutely pathetic. I ordered the reds in an 11, these by accident, and another blue pair in 10.5 to test the size out. So if I want the blue ones in the correct size, I have to spend $30 on returns. Likely wont be doing business with TYR in the future."
"My first pair of lifting shoes. These have really changed how im lifting. By proviing me a solid foundation for pushig through and staying grounded. Im normally an 8. 5W and followed the advice to size up to 9. Tad long but fits great witout putting pressure on the side of my foot. I wish it was wider so i didnt have to have a longer shoe but still manageable"
"I like a lot of things about the shoes but I felt like they run a bit large. I have always ordered men’s 12 and these shoes feel just a bit like clown shoes. Pretty wide at the arch and more than a thumb of space past the big toe. It’s borderline too big and if I bought them at a store, I would have returned them. I know different brands size differently but I probably would have ordered a half size smaller if not full size if I knew they tended to be large."
"I wish i would have bought these a long time ago. Squatting with good position is so much easier now. The heel is just high enough to keep the chest high while in the hole of the squat, and the wide toe box allows my feet to spread naturally while the whole foot feels stable in the movement."
"Perfect fit. Solid shoe. I use to do all barefoot movements but with these I can’t tell a difference. Highly recommended."
"Not only do I love the design and the colors, they’re comfortable and functional. They’re an incredible lifter, best I have ever had, the most sturdy shoe that allows you to lift with confidence and support unlike any other. I found my forever lifting shoe I will always come back to TYR!!"
"I have heard people talking about lifting shoes, but I never thought I needed them. I was wrong these are a great tool to have! I've gone up in weight on both my smith squat and leg press in massive amounts of weight and I feel like I have less pressure on my knees and hip joints with these! Highly recommend! I usually wear a 7. 5 womens shoe size, I ordered as usual but the toe box was really narrow and would cause toies to be crammed in the shoes when squatting. Customer service was excellent and fast with guidance and assisting with the exchange for the size 8. The size 8 I surely couldn't walk around far in but they are a lot more comfortable than the other size! They seem like they'll last a really long time very high quality."
"I have a problem with my heels lifting off when doing squats. These shoes help me drive with my heels to lift the weight. Are they comfortable shoes? Honestly not really. They are built like a tank made to lift weight. They hug your feet tighter than any shoe I have worn but they fit. I wear a 12 extra wide or an 13 if no wider sizes are available and I ordered a 13 so you may want to size up one to get a good fit. I wish more stores carried these! If you can try them on before buying, you should!"
"I’ve been a Crossfitter since 2012 and when I discovered lifters it was a game changer. I had been a Nike Romaleo person but decided to give the TYR’s a try since they were a sponsor of the CF Games this year. While the regular sneakers are great when they say these run small order up, they mean it. I normally order a half size up and that is fine. Not here returned these for a whole size up. The build quality of the shoe seems top notch, but as I was not able to lace up my left shoe (the bigger foot) they are getting poor marks for comfort, and fit. Can’t really speak to durability as I can’t wear them."
